Southern Tier Aquatics (STAQ) is a competitive swim club committed to fostering growth and excellence in each swimmer.

Our mission is rooted in providing a dynamic team atmosphere in a safe and supportive environment, and enhancing competitive prowess for all swimmers in the Southern Tier.  STAQ is dedicated to promoting healthy habits and cultivating strength of character in our athletes.

We are pleased to be offering our Swim Stroke & Water Safety School and Intro to Swimming lessons in the fall! Designed for beginners who already know how to swim, our Stroke & Water Safety School program will teach four competitive stokes with the focus on Freestyle and Backstroke and fundamentals of Breaststroke and Butterfly. Participants will learn stroke techniques, kicking efficiency, balancing body in the water and be introduced to diving into the water. With the emphasis on personal safety skills, our program will ensure that our swimmers are building comfort and confidence in water. Our Intro to Swimming program is tailored specifically for beginners with little to no swimming experience.  Participants will focus on water adjustment, basic swimming competenchy, and water safety skills.    Students learn basic skills, such as breath control, submersion, floating and gliding.
